Tips for Going to College in New England During the Winter

By Alexis Angelini on January 29, 2017

Going to college in New England definitely has its perks but the cold is not necessarily one of them. Check out these tips to stay cozy during this semester!

1. Always have winter accessories on you

Regardless if this morning is seeming a little warmer than usual or it’s not snowing yet, don’t wait until it’s too late! Always try to wear a scarf, a hat, a pair of gloves, and anything else to keep you toasty.

2. A knee -length coat

They can be expensive but the investment is worth it! When walking around from class to class they are vital to making sure you don’t freeze.

3. Winter boots

Black ice is not your friend! Toasty toes are the key to walking around on a large college campus. Cold wet feet in the middle of a lecture hall is distracting and obviously unpleasant. Not to mention a pair of fuzzy socks can make your snow boots even better.

4. Dunkin’

A New England staple, never doubt the true power of a vanilla latte or a hot americano. They taste delicious and will warm your numb fingers.
